Users vs. workers

So far, we have been talking about users. There is another list of people in the system - these are the workers. Workers cannot log into the system and no license fee for a worker account is charged. By design, workers should represent the full list of people employed in the organization.

What is the purpose of a separate employee list?

The purpose of extracting a separate list of employees is to indicate each person in the organization as the originator of the innovative idea Quick Kaizen without having to incur high costs related to the purchase of a license. In addition, these people can use the Action Plan to a limited extent via the Pulse application or an employee kiosk. The availability of these features depends on the selected license package.

So, if your organization doesn't use the Action Kaizen module or the Pulse messaging app, you don't need to create an employee list.

For more information about the Pulse mobile app and the Booth app, go to the related documentation pages: Introduction to Action Plan Pulse and Introduction to Action Booth.

Action Plan Pulse

When defining Pulse accesses, the mobile phone number is assigned to the employee and not directly to the user, to allow one Pulse application to be associated with more than 1 user account among other things. This is a common approach when a person uses both a personal account assigned to a department (e.g. Continuous Improvement or OHS) and a functional account of an audit manager or Kaizen manager assigned to an organizational unit of the plant.

You can read more about Pulse access management here.

tip

For simplicity, it can be assumed that Action Plan users are people who have a company email account, and employees are all people employed in the organization.
